The Student Wellness program creates educational opportunities for students around the 8 dimensions on the wellness wheel - Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Environmental, Social, Financial, and Occupational. The Fitness program allows students, faculty, and staff the chance to participate in group exercise classes and small group functional training classes. The Outdoor Program also manages the campus low ropes course, which helps with group team building and communication skills.Īdditionally, the Campus Recreation Department oversees aquatic facility operations at the campus outdoor pool including open swim hours, hiring of lifeguards, and facility rentals. The Outdoor Program provides students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to participate in outdoor pursuits such as surfing, camping, rock climbing, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking through the Outdoor Rental Center and the Bouldering Wall in the Campus Recreation Center. The Islander Anglers club at TAMU-CC are where anglers fish in local, regional and national tournaments. This allows the Health Center's fee schedule to be as low as possible. There are no registration fees charged for participation. There is a 75.00 per semester fee (25 for a 5-week summer term and 75.00 for a 10-week summer term) that is included in tuition and fees for students intended to support operations of the Student Health Center. Intramural sports are open to all currently enrolled students as well as TAMUG faculty and staff. The Intramural Sports program offers the campus community the opportunity to compete in a variety of Open and/or Co-Rec leagues or tournaments.
